Electrical & Automation Engineer

Biosero is looking for a driven Electrical Engineer to join our robotic automation team and help us design, build and deliver world-changing laboratory and industrial robotic automation systems. As a member of the team, you would be working with constantly evolving technologies such as collaborative and mobile robotics, machine vision, machine learning, artificial intelligence and more! We are looking for a passionate engineer who is excited to learn and develop along with our company as we develop remarkable, innovative products. This job is fast-paced, and you will be working with cross-functional teams on multiple projects simultaneously, so you will need to be flexible, adaptable, responsive and collaborative.


  • Conducts electrical load analysis on projects, and recommends appropriate system configuration
  • Designs and develops electrical systems for the product development team
  • Develops manufacturing, installation and testing processes for electrical systems
  • Generates electrical, pneumatic and communications schematics for products
  • Provides guidance to cross-functional teams regarding electrical requirements
  • Ensures all products comply with appropriate regulations
  • Installs or oversees the installation of electrical systems on projects
  • Lead automation projects from the design phase through site installation
  • Be an expert at Green Button Go, Biosero’s automation scheduling software, and assist with developing and testing new features
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience designing and building electrical systems
  • Availability for travel about 10%-25% of time (including internationally)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience with power distribution control panels
  • Hands on hardware design experience; including design requirements, detailed design & review, component selection and evaluation, procurement, design validation and release
  • Ability to apply knowledge of installation, repair, and troubleshooting at board, module and system level
  • Ability to write professional technical reports and procedures
  • Has demonstrated a high level of accountability, responsibility and technical competence
  • Must be task focused and have a results-oriented attitude and approach to the job responsibilities
  • Software/programming skills a plus
